Vegetation


My first set of vegetation so far and I am kinda satisfied with the result. My task was to create some low poly trees and vegetation for our current project in UDK. Speedtree might deliver brilliant trees but the polycount was just too huge for what we want to do with it. Stay tuned, more is in the pipe.

Character Design

A character design for our ongoing Concept Art unit. I can´t say that I am satisfied with the result but I learned a lot on this one. The task was to create a steampunk/orient hero, villain or robot minion. This one is Vasili Orloff, a russian merchant on his duty to sell oil to mechanical caravans on their way trough the desert. The bear next to him is his companion Sascha, a loyal friend and oil carrier. I was not sure if a bear could fit into the hot climate of a desert and thought about giving him a cooling unit on his back. In the end, I favoured the idea of a little umbrella and a cap because of its weight. The gear plus the oil barrels would have been to much. Hope you like it.
